| Job Description : | Prager Metis CPAs is seeking a Tax Staff Accountant for our Cranbury, NJ location with our Tax Controversy team. Remote/WFH is available for this position! We seek self-motivated professionals with a genuine desire to embrace this challenging career opportunity to work in a team-oriented environment and to work on exciting, rewarding projects for our very distinguished client roster. Responsibilities include: Preparation of individual and entity income tax returns, extensions, quarterly estimated tax payments Preparation of income tax projections Coordinating electronic tac payments and filing of tax returns Income tax payment reconciliation Capital Gain/Loss and tax business analysis Workload and project management of tasks assigned, including: client deadlines and filings Oversee tax return assembly and provide to clients Maintain & organize tax documents and client files Review and assist in addressing tax notices from the IRS and State Agencies Direct client interaction Printing, collation and mailing of tax returns to clients Scanning/Organize electronic tax docs Printing and mailing notices to the IRS and State agencies Required Education and Skills: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting Have or working toward CPA Excel, Word, and Outlook experience Knowledge/experience with ProSystem FX Engagement, CCH Axcess a plus Ideal years of experience: 1 – 3 years with the above responsibilities The above is intended to describe the general content of and requirements for the performance of this job.
