Job Description : Supervisor Level Auditor – Public accounting firm is looking to add experienced accountants to our staff.As a member of KWC’s audit team, the supervisor primarily assists in planning, preparing, and reviewing audits of nonprofit organizations, government contractors, and employee benefit plans. You’ll also have the opportunity to work on financial statement review, compilation, and preparation engagements for clients in a range of industries including nonprofit organizations, government contractors, and professional services firms. Our firm is unique in that the audit team prepares the nonprofit tax returns along with the financial statements.You’ll work closely with a close-knit group of fellow auditors who enjoy sharing knowledge and pooling resources to complete projects. We want you to grow professionally and contribute your individual expertise to help grow our firm.A typical day might include the following:Plan and review audit files in CCH® ProSystem fx®EngagementPlan and supervise audit testing/fieldwork remotely and on-site at client facilitiesAssist with wrap-up and review after audit fieldwork to include finalizing workpapers and checklists using PPC Smart AuditReview of draft financial statements and related audit documentsReview of tax returns for audit clients in CCH® ProSystemfx® Tax, if appropriate based on experienceTrain and develop other staff membersAttend CPE to remain up-to-date on changes in GAAP and tax lawsAs a supervisor, you’ll work with experienced manager and principal-level auditors in order to advance your technical proficiency and job responsibilities and, in turn, your career within our firm.
