| Job Description : | The IMA Group is seeking to hire an experienced Staff Accountant in Tarrytown, NY. The Staff Account will be the key member of the accounting team helping to drive timely and accurate financial reporting. Key responsibilities include preparing, analyzing and maintaining various financial statements, preparing journal entries, income and balance sheet statements, and account reconciliations. Essential Job Responsibilities Prepare journal entries – special and reoccurring – and account analysis work papers as requested Support accounts payable activities to ensure accuracy and timeliness of invoice creation and entry Support accounts receivable activities to ensure accuracy and timeliness of revenue recognition and payment applications Perform monthly bank reconciliations Regularly maintain detailed reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts Provide detailed analyses and explanations of all transactions Month-end close accuracy of general ledger, account reconciliations, journal entries, review of revenue, accruals and expense accounts Technical accounting: research issues, risk, and GAAP compliance Ad-hoc reporting and analysis Support the annual financial audit Help with development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department |
