We seek a person who wants to learn and who has strong ideas for how to make our processing more efficient and visible.We are looking for a dedicated hands-on accountant who enjoys the challenges inherent in day-to-day back office operations. Our company is in the process of upgrading our software and the ideal candidate will play a role in process migration and optimization, as they take on the responsibilities of A/R, A/P and Payroll. There are opportunities to improve processes, build reporting structures and assist with building budgets and forecasts.The ideal candidate has at least two years of relevant accounting experience with a solid foundation of general accounting principles and has some experience with optimization of accounting systems. This role reports directly to the CFO to help achieve effective and efficient operational processes. This is a great opportunity to grow your career in a fast-paced, fun environment.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESResponsible for accounting operations such as Billing, A/R, A/P and PayrollPrepare Credit card and other Account reconciliations.Participate in the Monthly Close Process, including ownership of variousDeferred Revenue accounts and GL account reconciliationsAssist with monthly financial reporting, financial analysis and budgetingAssist with Audit/Review/Tax requestsAssist with HR dutiesWork closely with the CFO on ad hoc accounting and finance projects.KEY REQUIREMENTSBA/BS degree in Accounting.2+ years of experience with knowledge of US GAAP.Experience with subscription revenue recognition a plus.Experience with Netsuite a plusProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and with Google documents.Tech Savvy and intellectually curious.Excellent communication and organization skills, with strong attention todetail.Willingness to learn and pitch in.Ability to work independently and take initiative.NOTES:Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, BevNET is working in a hybrid remote/on-site fashion for now; However, candidates should have the ability tocommute to our Newton, MA office.Visa sponsorship is not available for the position.New hires must be vaccinated against COVID-19Job Type: Full-timePay: $60,000.00 – $80,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceFlexible spending accountHealth insurancePaid time offPhysical Setting:OfficeSchedule:Monday to FridayEducation:Bachelor’s (Preferred)Experience:relevant accounting: 2 years (Preferred)Work Location: One location |
