The Aerospace, Defense & Marine (AD&M) Business Unit is currently seeking a Senior Cost Accountant-Analyst for North America Wire and Cable Operations. The Senior cost accountant must be an exceptional business partner to the Operations and PM teams. This position is responsible for pulling together all plant financials, analyzing and bridging between details at the entity level and up-leveling results for review by global management. The Finance Teams also create financial models of “what if” scenarios to help future business planning decisions.
TE Connectivity’s Finance Teams are responsible for economic research, analysis of profit-and-loss income statements and preparation of reports on findings to make recommendations to management. They generate forecasts and analyze trends in sales, finance and other areas of business. Key Responsibilities
A key contributor to the plant strategy by providing financial support and risk analysisFull ownership of Financial Controlling over the dedicated part of the businessWork as business partner with Operations and Product Management.Supporting plant controllers in budgeting, monthly forecasting and month-end reporting (overseeing strategic reserves, inventory reconciliations)Analysis of standard costs and actual production costs and resolution of issues. Cost out calculations and review product cost over time.Drive the financial performance improvements across all operational areas including material spend, labor and overheadPerform analysis and reporting on Inventory, WO variances, Standards Analysis, PPV, and SubcontractsProduct costing and SAP set-ups. Margin control. Cost estimations for new products and processes and necessary cost revisions for existing products and processes,Overseeing costs of the product families during their lifecycle, including savings and margin erosion factors (annual cost & interim cost roll up). It includes review cost center rates / material burden calculation, annual budget review by cost center and management report-out for cost roll during cost roll rounds.
Working closely with PM Finance team on margin analysis specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitabilityReview and approve savings projects and monitor achievementAssist with footprint analysis to determine optimal manufacturing location for products.Ad-hoc projects and analysis for Operations and Product management teams.

What your background should look like:
Experience working in a manufacturing environmentPrior finance experience in general accounting principles and processGood understanding of financial analysis, financial modeling, forecasting, reporting and manufacturing costingUniversity Degree in Finance or AccountingExperience: Min 5+ years of finance experience in a manufacturing environmentUnderstanding of standard costing, variance analysis, cost accounting, cost analysis and reporting mattersUnderstanding of financial drivers and their impact within a manufacturing environmentUnderstanding of manufacturing, procurement and other supply chain mattersFamiliarity with SAP, excel and data manipulation

COMPENSATION
Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $112,000-134,800 (subject to change dependent on physical location)Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
