This position will be part of a core team that provides audit coverage for general account investments, reinsurance activities, capital & liquidity management, enterprise risk inclusive of model risk, and Human Resources across the enterprise. The Ideal Candidate: Beyond the standard skill set of analytical thinking and excellent verbal and written communication skills, this position calls for a highly enthusiastic individual who can actively participate in all aspects of the audit, including the planning, risk assessment, data analytics, control analysis, testing, issue development and reporting phases. This individual will be expected to engage in dialogue with business unit management and various control partners to identify and assess risks and controls. As a Senior Auditor within the FAIR Audit Group, you will work with other employees to deploy our audit approach to ensure adequate audit coverage of assigned businesses across Prudential. This role provides the opportunity to influence our approach and perform audits of key Prudential functions such as Financial Management, Treasury, Human Resources, Inclusive Solutions, Enterprise Risk Management, and the Chief Investment Office. About You: You have a strong analytical mindset with the ability to assess risk and evaluate controls. You are a self-motivated and intellectually curious person with the desire to grow your business/technical acumen to remain current on business developments, industry trends, emerging risks, and changes to the financial and regulatory environments. You have experience with data analytics and seek to build upon your knowledge of approaches and tools. You enjoy working independently and are productive in a collaborative team environment. Qualifications: The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3-6 years of combined experience in any of the following areas: Prior experience auditing and/or performing job functions in processes for treasury, market risk, investment risk, credit risk, counterparty risk, liquidity and/or model risks in the financial services industry. Knowledge of corporate finance concepts, insurance company asset liability management, investment products, reinsurance, and/or stress testing. Familiarity with environmental, social and governance (ESG) topics such as climate change, emissions analysis, green bonds, sustainability, diversity, racial equity, and board reporting is a plus. Strong ability to perform quantitative analysis over large sets of data. Strong project management skills with the ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities. Experience working effectively both independently as well as in a team environment. Outstanding communication skills, both oral and written. Ability to effectively and confidently discuss audit topics and issues with management. Ability to partner effectively with management, external auditors and control partners. Prior experience in developing, using, testing and/or auditing models and end-user computing solutions. Knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting (GAAP) and statutory (STAT) insurance accounting concepts is a plus. Experience with or exposure to data analytics tools and coding such as Python, SQL and/or other data science techniques is a plus. Knowledge of the Committee of Sponsoring Organizations (COSO) governance framework, the Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) act, risk assessment, control analysis or audit methodologies is a plus. Bachelor’s degree is required; advanced degrees in business, finance, accounting, or related fields are a plus. FRM, CFA, CPA, CIA, CISA or related certifications are a plus. This position is based in Newark, NJ however the successful candidate can expect to work globally either via travel or video conference.
