We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Accountant to join our team!
How You’ll Contribute
Supervise the accounts payable process which includes vendor bills, vendor payments, AP accruals, and employee reimbursements. Ensure payments are processed timely and accurately and the entries into the accounting system are correct.
Work closely with Supply Chain and Procurement as business partners to address procurement and billing matters as they arise.
Assist in driving the month-end close process, such as preparing or reviewing journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and flux analysis.
Review coding and classification of PO line items in NetSuite regularly to ensure appropriate classification and recording of purchases to the appropriate GL accounts.
Assist in various tax filings including but not limited to sales & use tax, 1099 and 1096, and preparation of related schedule when requested for corporate income tax purposes
Participate in discussions with the fixed assets accountant in identifying fixed assets/expenditure which meets the capitalization policy.
Participate in annual fixed assets verifications and or inventory counts as needed.
Participate in the upgrade and implementation of accounting and operations system/software.
Assist in the company’s annual financial statements audit and other audits/due diligence efforts as needed by addressing audit requests and preparing supporting documentation for audit purposes upon request.
Assist in the development and implementation of new accounting policies and procedures.
Assist in various administrative and operations matters / other projects as assigned based on business needs.
Continuously identify and develop solutions for process improvement.
Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. CPA is a plus.
Minimum of 5 years of general accounting experience in industry and/or a public accounting firm (preferably audit practice; Big 4 is a plus).
Strong working experience with NetSuite ERP is a plus.
Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and operational accounting processes.
Strong knowledge and practical work experience with the Microsoft Office Suite (Advanced Excel skills).
Must have great organizational and analytical skills.
Be detail-oriented with focus on accuracy.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced, often high-pressure environment, with proven ability to maintain composure.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks, prioritize and adhere to tight deadlines.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
A proactive thinker with a desire to initiate and implement process improvements; be creative and not afraid of building things from scratch.
Team player and solid communicator (written and verbal skills); strong interpersonal skills including conscientiousness, diplomacy, flexibility, and dependability; be able to interact with cross-functional teams.
