We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant who will be working closely with the accounting team in the US and our subsidiaries in Europe and Brazil, and reports to the Global Controller.
Responsibilities:
Perform monthly closing and financial statement responsibilities, including preparing and reviewing journal entries and reconciliations.
Be responsible for updating and sending out monthly close schedules and making sure all checklist items have been appropriately completed.
Assist the Global Controller in managing all accounting operations of the business, including payroll, fixed assets, accounts payable, sales/business taxes, and all required daily accounting functions. Ensuring the timeliness and accuracy of financial information for the company.
Provide financial analysis and reporting on company operations and balance sheet; such analysis is provided to the parent company reporting team.
Oversee intercompany activity and ensure that intercompany accounts eliminate in consolidation including proper elimination of intercompany profit in inventory.
Assist the Global Controller with overseeing the internal controls process, identify control deficiencies and determine corrective action plans. Monitor implementation of corrective actions for remediation of deficiencies.
Assist with implementation of new accounting standards.
Assist with planning and executing annual physical inventory count
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
3-7years experience in Accounting.
Demonstrated ability to work well with cross-functional groups.
Demonstrated interpersonal, collaborative, and relationship-building skills; Ability to interact positively with teammates at all levels of the Company.
Demonstrated strengths in organizational, attention-to-detail, follow-through, reasoning, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to seek underlying assumptions through probing, questioning, and listening.
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills including ability to listen attentively and to communicate information clearly and effectively.
Passionate about timeliness/commitment to deadlines and accuracy.
Strong technical skills/proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power-Point, Outlook, Teams).
Manufacturing and strong cost accounting knowledge a plus.
Knowledge of US GAAP and familiar with adjustment process from foreign GAAP to US GAAP a plus.
JD Edwards or other integrated AS/400 experience a plus.
Hyperion experience a plus.
