Job Description : Property AccountantSUMMARYThe Property Accountant is responsible for the day-to-day financials of the property.CLASSIFICATIONThe position is a full-time, regular, non-exempt position.REPORTING RELATIONSHIPThe position reports directly to the Senior Accounting Manager.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSCompletes journal entries for accruals and reclasses as directed by Property Managers.Works directly with onsite team to ensure accurate financials.Prepares monthly financials and all supporting schedules.Completes bank reconciliations and researches cash items.Responsible for the cash management for property, including payments for mortgage, tax, and partner distributions.Manages the monthly replacement reserve and capex funding.Tracks and reports capital project budget.Completes general accounting tasks for multifamily assets.Performs other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONSTo perform the role successfully, an individual must be able to perform all essential functions satisfactorily.
