| Job Description : | As a Lead Accountant, you will be responsible for accounting and financial reporting activities within LSM West Latam Region. This is highly dynamic role in a fast-paced and collaborative environment focusing on continuous process improvements in accounting and finance. Communicates accounting issues, trends and policy to senior management and other groups at the appropriate level of detail. Leads increasingly complex and innovative efforts to continuously improve processes to ensure work is performed in the fastest, most efficient fashion. Performs account reconciliations, analyze root-cause issues and supports the Regional Accounting team during accounting period close and reporting delivering accurate and timely financial analysis and maintaining consistently high-quality standards. Responsibilities: Responsible for monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting and reporting activities through effective planning, monitoring, and execution. Experience leading complex accounting projects. Knowledge of facultative and reinsurance accounting is a plus. Researches and applies accounting policy to complex issues, communicating effectively to senior management. Establishes, documents, and performs internal control procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. Leading implementation of continuous process improvements opportunities including automation for accounting and finance working cross-functioning with other internal and external stakeholders. Cultivates a collaborative environment focused on development of talent and sharing our identity & values. Bachelor’s degree (Accounting or Finance) required. CPA or advanced degree in Accounting preferred. Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience Experience with ERP Systems is preferred. Insurance or Financial Services Industry experience is required. Bilingual (English-Spanish) Must demonstrate attention to detail in a fast-paced work environment and the ability to adapt quickly to changing conditions to achieve results. Communicates effectively with own team and across organizational boundaries to create alignment and ensure the successful completion of shared goals.
