From onboarding loans to handling insurance and processing payments, the Servicing Operations team ensures that borrowers are continuing to get a first-class experience with Valon, all from behind the scenes.About the RoleWe are looking for a mortgage servicing escrow specialist who will focus on taxes, but is also able to navigate throughout multiple facets of the escrow sector of a fast-growing technology and operations-focused business. The right candidate enjoys tackling complex problems in various process areas. This position is not remote eligible.ResponsibilitiesExecute and problem solve in day-to-day operations for the servicing businessOversee the movement of check/wire funds relating to tax to ensure timely payment of escrow line itemsEnsure timely procurement and accurate processing of property tax refundsMonitor and drive resolution for any delinquent taxes in the loan portfolioReview control reports to ensure compliance with state, regulatory, and investor guidelinesLiaise between all third-party vendors and ensure escalations are responded to timely and accuratelyComplete various audits for the monthly vendor scorecardLead other escrow responsibilities and projects as assigned by managementAdhere to SLA standards/deadlinesMaking calls to tax authorities and tile companiesCommunication with borrowers via email/phoneIdeal BackgroundBachelor’s degree preferred2+ years of experience at a mortgage servicing company within an escrow function or a tax service providerFreddie Mac or Fannie Mae servicing experience preferredMinimum QualificationsExcellent critical thinking and logical reasoning abilitiesExperience working with cross-functional teams to solve business problems and handle change management in a fast-paced environmentBenefitsMedical, dental, and vision insurance plans15 vacation days, 5 sick days, and 11 paid company holidaysCommuter benefitsPC laptopThroughout the interview process, please remember that emails will only be from valon.com emails.
