Westaff is looking for 1st Shift Controller in the Weston, FL area for IMMEDIATE HIRE!
Pay: $100k to $120k DOE
Hours: Monday through Friday 9:00am-6:00 pm. (1 hour lunch)
Job Responsibilities:
Manage all accounting functions including but not limited to accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and purchasing.
Will handle 200+ Invoices
Deviating budgets.
Review, evaluate and implement accounting systems, policies, and procedures.
Ensure all financial reports are prepared in a prompt and correct manner.
Prepare and present financial statements and related reports including but not limited to balance sheets, income statements, cash-flow reports, budgets, and variance analysis.
Supervise monthly balancing of books and monthly account reviews; prepare and present monthly financial statements.
Coordinate annual independent audit and preparation of annual tax documents.
Direct budget preparation, review budget proposals, and prepare necessary supporting documentation and justification for proposed budgets and bank covenants.
Provide management with timely reviews of organization’s financial status and progress.
Ensure compliance with statutory payroll and property tax reporting.
Monitor receivables to ensure credit risk is mitigated.
Oversee accounts payable function including but not limited to compliance with expense reporting, capitalization policy, and purchase order procedures.
Assist with company strategic planning.
Assist with special projects as required.
Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in an accounting and/or finance discipline is needed
Four to six years related experience and/or training.
CPA is a plus
Experience with company tax returns, and auditing.
Having handled large revenues
Knowledge of NetSuite ERP system is a plus
Prior experience with;
Preparing financial statements and tax returns
Managing and reconciling intercompany AP/AR
Consolidation accounting and elimination entries
Minority interest calculations
Managing cash, projections, and treasury management in general
Expense monitoring and budgeting; including experience with payroll
Accounting systems implementation
Demonstrated ability to interpret economic conditions and predict the impact on the organization.
Must have experience in wholesale distribution.
Working knowledge of data collection, data analysis, evaluation, and scientific method.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills needed to communicate with upper levels of management.
