| Job Description : | Commercial and residential builder looking for a well-organized and self-motivated accountant to add to our team. High level accounting, financial statement consolidation, cash and treasury management experience and Excel skills are a must.Job Description:The Corporate Accountant is responsible for all areas relating to financial reporting. This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements. This position addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including general ledger preparation, financial reporting, and the support of budget and forecast activities. The Corporate Accountant will have contact with senior-level Vice Presidents and Controller which requires strong interpersonal communication skills both written and verbal.Key responsibilities include:Develop, implement, and maintain construction management system, including setting up projects, budgets, job costs, cost codes, contracts, change orders, purchase orders, and various construction reports, including budgets, liens and waivers, draw requests, etc.Maintain relationships with vendors and project managersObtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure.Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close.Assist the Controller in the daily banking requirements.Analyze G/L accounts and ensure accuracy of general ledger and compliance with GAAP.Supports budget and forecasting activities.Collaborates with the other finance department managers to support overall department goals and objectives.Monitors and analyzes department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.Review and approve Accounts Payable.Assist in development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance workflow.Support Controller with special projects and workflow process improvements.Prepare cash flow forecasts, KPI reports and other financial analyses as requested by management.Job Requirements:Bachelor’s degree required, CPA preferred5 -10 years of accounting experience preferred2 – 4 years of construction management or general contracting industry experience requiredGreat work ethic and ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously· Strong financial and analytical acumen· Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and Windows-based accounting programs a mustSoftware programs: Oracle, Quickbooks, Procore, and Buildertrend a plus· Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment· Solid organizational and communication skills· Ability to maintain strict confidentialityJob Type: Full-timePhysical Setting:OfficeSchedule:8 hour shiftAbility to commute/relocate:Ocala, FL 34482: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)Education:Master’s (Preferred)Experience:Accounting: 1 year (Preferred)License/Certification:CPA (Preferred)Work Location: One location |
