| Job Description : | General Functions: Under the direction of the Controller, accounting manager is responsible for performing and managing the accounting processes of the Company. The priority of this role in the first year will be identifying and implementing new inventory accounting software and transitioning inventory and cost accounting to this system.Duties and Responsibilities: · Identifies appropriate inventory accounting software to enable accurate accounting of inventory and cost of goods sold.· Manages implementation plan to transition to new inventory accounting software.· Manages the monthly accounting close process, with the initial focus being on the accurate accounting of inventory and cost of goods sold.· Ensures all accounts are reconciled monthly and accounting records are timely and accurately maintained.· Works with Controller to ensure there are adequate internal controls over all accounting processes.Qualifications: · Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Accounting and or Finance from an accredited educational institution.· 5 Years of experience as Accounting Manager or Supervisor.· Demonstrated experience with Quickbooks accounting software.· Demonstrated experience with inventory accounting.· Experience implementing inventory accounting software.· Must have good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain financial information to different groups.· Working knowledge of data collection, data analysis, evaluation.· Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.· Ability to direct and recommend cost-effective creative solutions.· Ability to work with all levels of management.· Strong organizational skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.· Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work enthusiastically within constantly changing priorities.· Ability to guide others in the implementation of corporate policy and procedures.Job Type: Full-timePay: $65,000.00 – $70,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridayCOVID-19 considerations:Masks required on site.Experience:Microsoft Excel: 5 years (Required)Accounting Manager: 5 years (Preferred)Cost Accounting: 1 year (Preferred)Quickbooks: 1 year (Required)Work Location: One location |
