Job Description : SUMMARY: We are currently seeking a highly motivated and self-starter individual who will be responsible for guiding and directing all activities of accounting and financial reporting. Candidate will also perform general accounting functions such as preparing and entering journal entries, reconciling, and analyzing various general ledger accounts and other financial statement analyses, as well as assisting external auditors during annual audit. The Accounting Manager is the financial leader in the business unit and is a valued member in the Leadership team. They understand the business and provide financial insight into the drivers of the business. The Accounting Manager will report to the President of the company.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Issues and reviews financial statements with shareholders and plant managementProvides analysis on financial performance of the plant and reviews with management teamMaintains general ledgerCompletes month-end closing process, accounts reconciliation, bank account reconciliationPrepares and reviews cost reports and production analysisDevelops and maintains labor and overhead standardDevelops pricing for all prospective products to be manufacturedEnsures customer billing and accounts receivables are timely and managed according to termsPrepares annual budget for plant facilityReviews, investigates, and reports on monthly production variances and provides analytical insight to recurring trendsReviews and investigates cost changesReviews and reconciles stock status to general ledgerReviews inventory adjustments, ensuring proper valuation and costing of inventoryReviews and reconciles inventory receipt accrualsAnalysis and implementation of cost accounting methods and proceduresIdentify opportunities for process and cost improvementsEnsures purchases and accounts payables are timely and support the company’s production plansPrepare ad-hoc profitability analysisReview and prepare cash flow statements and forecastsThis is not intended to be an all-inclusive list, other duties may be required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functionsEDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: · Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) in Accounting or Finance· 5 or more years combined accounting and/or finance experience· Previous supervision experience preferred· Food and Beverage and Manufacturing experience highly desirable· Advanced Excel skills· Extensive financial statement and reporting experience· Strong organizational skills along with problem solving and analytical skills· Able to meet deadlines with attention to detail and high level of accuracy· 4 years or more of ERP experienceELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS Employment/Education will be verified.Applicant must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.Must be willing to work from office in Dallas, TX. No relocation will be offered.Must be willing to provide information and pass background check and consumer reports.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Manages the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Accounting and Finance Departments. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the company policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, planning, assigning, directing work, rewarding, disciplining employees, performance reviews, and addressing complaints and resolving problems.LANGUAGE ABILITY: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations; ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries and complaints. Effective and persuasive presentation skills on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups and/or board of directors.MATHEMATICAL ABILITY: Must be able to calculate figures and amounts for all bookkeeping, payroll, budgets, statistical analysis and probability statements. Accounting Manager must use the utmost discretion in all presentations/correspondenceREASONING ABILITY: Able to lead a team and understand co-manufacturing procedures. Able to exercise excellent judgment.
