| Job Description : | Responsibilities: Reviews and reconciles payroll taxes and payroll liabilities and prepares wires to various vendors. Performs professional accounting work involving compiling and consolidating payroll tax information so quarterly returns and annual returns can be prepared. Ensures the accounting transactions are recorded accurately and timely. Reconciles, researches and adjusts accounting information in accordance with aggressive deadlines. Prepares monthly reconciliations including researching outstanding items. Is capable of understanding how and why transactions were processed and reported. Proactively identifies unique problems, such as reconciliation/posting issues and seeks help to resolve, if necessary. Uses multiple systems and sophisticated reporting tools to gather, prepare and/or submit information. In addition to payroll taxes, will be involved with the reconciliation of benefit accounts. Overseeing deposits within People Solutions and preparing journal entries for said deposits. Project work that is assigned to our Team. Capable of interacting and working with outside vender, and state and local tax agencies, along with our employees. Responsible for adherence to the company’s framework of internal controls. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent education/experience. 2 years of experience, with degree. Working knowledge of accounting area preferred (Payroll Tax, Benefits & Reconciliations). Proficient in Microsoft Excel Many tasks are repetitive in nature, must have the foresight to look for outstanding issues. Can multi-task, work independently or in a Team setting. Preferred Qualifications: Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing, customer service approach. Detail-oriented, accurate; work effectively individually and within a team, organizational and prioritization skills. Location: Cedar Rapids, IA Working Conditions: Hybrid employees will need to work at a Company office location at times and a remote work location (typically their home) at times. |
